Paxos Medical’s first therapy is focused on non-obstructive urinary retention, or underactive bladder, where a patient suffers from damage to their motor or sensory nerves that makes it impossible to void their bladder without the use of 4-6 daily self-catheterizations. This therapy, developed in our Chief Scientific Officer’s lab at Duke University, utilizes a unique stimulation target and mechanism solely focused on pro-voiding pathways.
