Envoy Medical was founded in 1995 – originally as St. Croix Medical – to design, manufacture, and bring to market a fully implanted hearing device that would use the ear as its "microphone." A completely novel yet wonderfully elegant and simple way to avoid many of the problems and limitations of other hearing devices.
